“Obama defends Scotland’s right to decide”

The US President is not in favor of Scotland’s independence, but he defends their right to make the decision themselves.

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, said today in a joint press conference with the British Prime Minister David Cameron that he would like Scotland to remain in Great Britain, but that this was a decision that was up to the people of Scotland, who will vote in a referendum on September 18th. Obama also said that he would like for Great Britain to remain in the European Union in order to keep having influence in Brussels.
